Roma boss makes decision on Mhikitaryan's future

Arsenal loanee Henrik Mhikitaryan has been a man reborn since moving to Italy on a season long loan deal. Mhikitaryan was one of many players proned at the start of the season when Arsenal were mandated to cut down their wage bill having added five(5) new names to the books.

Mhikitaryan has had an impressive campaign while at Rome, having notched six(6) assists and chipping in two(2) goals to the course from midfield. His boss, Paulo Fonseca, has now opened up on what he'd prefer as to whether the Armenian remains or not.

Speaking to a Russian TV programme Great Football, Fonseca said:
‘I want him to stay and he also wants to stay, However, it should be clear that everything is now on hiatus, and we’ll have to talk to Arsenal.'

‘I want to continue working with him because he’s a great player and a great man.’

Mhikitaryan has previously stated his desire to remain in the Italian capital too, and with Arsenal keen to sell, it only looks a matter of time before the deal happens.
