Arsenal begin negotiations to sign Real Madrid star

Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on Real Madrid's Luka Jovic, who is seen as a potential replacement for Gabonese frontman, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should he depart amidst uncertainty over his contract situation.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been a force to reckon with since arriving. He has bagged 61 goals in under 100 appearances which makes him a very vital piece of the Arsenal puzzle. Losing the striker at a time like this would be a major blow, however Arsenal are said to be resigned to losing the marksman having attempted many unsuccessful contract extension talks.

Real Madrid's Luka Jovic has once again surfaced as the man hand picked to replace Aubameyang, with Madrid already running out of patience with the €60m signing, he's reportedly available for a much lower fee, with a touted €35m his current market value.

A potential swap deal that'd involve Real Madrid giving Jovic+cash in exchange for Aubamenyang has been previously touted but it remains to be seen if Real Madrid will make a move to the Gabonese talisman.
