Sky Sports confirm Arsenal center back transfer list

There's so much rumours making rounds in the media about potential transfers and transfer targets. There are some positions in dire need of reinforcement at Arsenal which, of course, cannot be denied, like the center back position.

There's been touted transfer targets like Jerome Boateng of Bayern Munich, Torres of Villarreal, Ruben Dias of Benfica and the name on everyone's lips, Dayot Upamecano. Sky Germany has however released a short statement listing Arsenal's priority targets.

According to the outlet, Arsenal are looking for a new central defender. While there has been contact with Jerome Boateng's representatives, he isn't the priority for the Gunners. Jonathan Tah, Dayot Upamecano and Evans Ndicka remain Mikel Arteta's preferred signings. Arteta wants a young and quick center half to implement a high defensive line.

Boating should not even be in this conversation with his profile the same as those already on the books which are being touted to offloads, a proven performer who has now waned, just like Sokratis and David Luiz.

Dayot Upamecano is seemingly a constant in the transfer rumour mill when it comes to center backs. Evans Ndicka will definitely be a solid option too, even though he's less of a fancy name that Dayot.

Jonathan Tah was once a target, before Arsenal ridiculously opted for a 30year old Sokratis, he remains a solid option and at 24 is now more matured and would be ready to fill an even bigger role. It all remains to be seen which player Arsenal opts for.
