Arsenal player return rescheduled

With the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, every Arsenal player have undone a 14-day quarantine period, which is set to elapse today. The players had been confined to themselves from the 9th day of March to ensure their safety from the virus and ensure they didn't spread it, in the case any of them harboured, which has, thankfully, not been the case.

The Arsenal players and staff were set to resume training duties this week Tuesday, however, in recent days the pandemic has scaled new heights, sadly, and has become more rampant which has led to a revoke in the decision of a resumption for players and staffs, with it not being safe to return at the moment.

Arsenal released an official statement on Monday, confirming the indefinite rescheduling of the player return date and cancellation of the original date which was scheduled for Tuesday. The statement reads:

"Our men’s first team players were scheduled to return to training on Tuesday after completing 14 days isolation following Mikel Arteta’s positive diagnosis for the virus."

"As a result of the current situation we are clear it would be inappropriate and irresponsible to ask players to come back at this time. Therefore our men’s first team, women and academy players are all remaining at home. Stay at home and save lives."

The return date is now undefined but it is definitely the right call to make.
