Arsenal must not weigh Saliba down with expectations

Arsenal signed the talented William Saliba from Saint-Etienne last summer but as part of the deal, promptly loaned him back for the rest of the season. William Saliba is hugely talented and his performances have turned heads with praises being lavished on him from all angles.

Mikael Silvester claimed William Saliba would be an immediate starter once he arrived, saying:
"William Saliba will start from the get-go when he joins Arsenal next season. He's currently playing for a struggling Saint-Etienne side, but his performances have been good and he's been consistent"

Bacary Sagna has also heaped praises on the young Frenchman, saying:
"He is very confident in defending, he is not afraid to defend one against one and most of the time he wins the duels, which is the best quality as a defender. You need some security, you need some presence and he has that" 

William Saliba will be coming into this team with so much being expected of him. This defence has hugely improved but the need for a young and capable centre back is still there. William Saliba is being expected to fill that need for the now and future. For all of his talent, we must not get carried away, he's only 19 and there's only so much he can do. Arsenal must not weigh down William Saliba with the lofty expectations.
