Henrik Mhikitaryan makes decision on Arsenal

Henrik Mhikitaryan joined AS Roma on loan from Arsenal in the summer. With five(5) new faces brought in, it was imperative that some players would have to make way, and Mhikitaryan was among those to leave, albeit he left on a temporary basis.

Mhikitaryan has enjoyed a quietly successful spell at Roma so far, with the midfielder having laid on six(6) assists and also chipping in with two(2) goals this term. He has now hinted at wanting a permanent deal, stating he prefers football over there.

In an interview with the times, the Armenian revealed:
“The philosophy of Emery was different from Fonseca, but here I’m feeling much better because we’re playing better football and I think it matched me."

“When I was at Arsenal, I had different things asked from me by the coach, people were expecting different things from here," he concluded.

AS Roma had reportedly put in a bid to get him on a permanent basis with Arsenal rejecting the bid an tabling their demands, it remains to be seen what happens, but with Arsenal willing to sell, Roma willing to buy and Mhiktaryan open to the deal, it only looks a matter of time.
